Swim spas are built tough. The cabinet, shell, and plumbing can handle cold weather. What they can\u2019t handle well is sustained exposure to heavy snow accumulation on the cover, wind-driven debris, and the constant freeze-thaw cycle that degrades seals, fittings, and cover material over time.<\/p>\n

If you live in a climate with real winters \u2014 anywhere that gets accumulating snow or winds above 40 mph regularly \u2014 protecting your swim spa isn\u2019t optional. It\u2019s the difference between a 10-year investment and a 20-year one.<\/p>\n

The Cover Isn\u2019t Enough<\/h2>\n

Swim spa covers are designed to insulate and keep debris out. They are not designed to handle structural snow loads. A standard foam cover on a 15-foot swim spa can accumulate hundreds of pounds of wet snow before you notice it sagging. A solid-roofed enclosure eliminates snow and wind as factors entirely. Roof bracket upgrades increase the structure\u2019s wind and snow capacity from the standard 30 psf up to 40+ psf.<\/p>\n
