Description
The Most Popular Size for Hot Tub Owners Who Want Room to Relax
The Colorado 12×16 is the sweet spot in the Colorado collection — large enough to house an 8-foot square hot tub with plenty of space left over for comfortable seating, a side table, and room to move freely around the spa. With interior dimensions of 132 5/8″ x 179 7/8″, this enclosed spa gazebo transforms your backyard into a genuine four-season outdoor room where you can soak, socialize, and unwind regardless of what the weather is doing outside.
This is the size that most hot tub owners choose when they want more than just a shelter for their spa. The extra two feet of width (compared to the 10×14) and additional length make a meaningful difference in how the space feels once you step inside. Customers regularly tell us they use the extra floor area for patio chairs, a small loveseat, a portable fire pit table, or even a wall-mounted TV for game nights and movie evenings. It is as much an outdoor entertainment room as it is a hot tub enclosure.
Premium Ultrawood Construction — Zero Maintenance Required
The Colorado 12×16 structure is built from Ultrawood, a heavy-duty composite material that replicates the look and texture of natural wood while eliminating every maintenance headache that comes with it. There is no staining, no sealing, no sanding, and no replacing rotting boards. Ultrawood resists moisture absorption, UV fading, insect damage, and temperature-driven expansion and contraction. The result is a hot tub gazebo that looks as good in year ten as it did the day you assembled it.
The gray coastal gray colored walls paired with driftwood gray window and door trim give the Colorado 12×16 a modern, sophisticated appearance. This color palette is intentionally neutral, which means it pairs well with virtually any home exterior, landscaping style, or deck material. It is a clean, contemporary enclosed gazebo that adds value and curb appeal to your property.
Weather Protection with the Duraflex Roof System
The Duraflex PC roof on the Colorado 12×16 is not just a cover — it is an engineered roofing system is rated at up to 35 lbs. per square foot of snow load capacity, or up to 40 lbs. with the bracket upgrade. For homeowners in Northern states, mountain regions, and areas with heavy winter weather, this snow load rating means you will not be climbing up to shovel off your gazebo roof after every storm. The hardtop roof also handles rain, hail, and wind far better than any fabric or soft-top canopy alternative.
A skylight built into the roof adds natural daylight to the interior, creating a bright and airy atmosphere even when all the windows are closed. At night, the skylight becomes a window to the stars — a feature that hot tub owners consistently mention as one of their favorite aspects of the Colorado design. Six aluminum-framed sliding lockable windows wrap around the structure, giving you full control over airflow, temperature, and privacy. Slide them open in summer for a fresh breeze or close them tight in winter to trap heat inside your enclosed outdoor room.
Built for Real Life: Assembly, Security, and Versatility
The Colorado 12×16 ships as a pre-assembled panel kit with factory-built wall sections, a complete roof assembly, and all hardware included. Assembly typically takes two people approximately one full day.
Customers who have assembled this size report that having a step ladder, a power drill with a flexible Phillips bit extension, a tape measure and a pair of wood clamps makes the process smooth and straightforward. Detailed illustrated instructions and unlimited phone support through Westview’s 1-800-895-1972 line are included.
Two lockable aluminum French doors can be placed on any side of the structure during installation. This means you choose which direction the entrance faces based on your yard layout, the position of your house, and how you want foot traffic to flow. The doors lock securely, providing peace of mind for homeowners who want to keep their hot tub area private and protected when it is not in use.
While the Colorado 12×16 is most commonly purchased as an enclosed hot tub shelter, its generous interior dimensions also make it a versatile backyard building for other uses. Westview customers have outfitted this size as an art studio, a home gym, a garden office, and an outdoor entertainment pavilion with a big-screen TV and surround sound speakers. The enclosed design with locking windows and doors keeps equipment safe and dry in any weather.
Customize with Upgrades
Enhance your Colorado 12×16 with optional screen kits, tempered glass window upgrades, and reinforced bracket supports. Screen kits are ideal for three-season use in areas with mosquitoes and biting insects. Tempered glass improves thermal insulation, safety, and sound dampening. Reinforced brackets increase the structural rating for homeowners in extreme wind or snow regions. Multiple upgrades can be bundled at a reduced package price. Flexible financing through Affirm is available at checkout, or call us at 1-800-895-1972 to discuss your options.
What great service! The gazebo was delivered this past Thursday. Looking forward to getting it put together and put it to good use. Again, Thank You for the great service. Looking forward to doing business with you again in the future.
I just purchased and assembled your gazebo, and wanted to compliment your company on an excellent product designed. It went together like a very detailed meccano set and yes, I had to reread some of the text and diagrams a couple of times, but everything went together well and I was also quite impressed with the value.
When Spring arrives and the yard/gardens come back to life, I’ll send some photos so you can see how nice the gazebo looks. I couldn’t be happier with the finished product! And again, the phone consultations were key to making the fit exactly right. Everything is exactly the way I need it to be. 100% thumbs up!!!
It took me and another person about 8 hours from start to finish to put it together. There were no problems with construction. The parts are labeled clearly and were packaged securely. The roof panels are a little difficult to get in with two people. A third person would be very helpful at this stage of the construction. I used concrete anchors to secure it on my concrete slab patio. The first night it was up we had about 3 inches of snow and the following two days we had thunderstorms and heavy winds. The gazebo held up perfectly throughout the 3 days. We had wind gusts over 30 mph and I saw no movement with the structure.
We love this gazebo. It is well made and very sturdy. We have added lights, two ceilingfans. We have never been able to enjoy sitting on our patio…too hot and humid. We have been able to be outside enjoying our beautiful birds.
We bought this gazebo in April of last year and only problem we had was to find someone to assemble it due to COVID19, so my wife and I assembled it by ourselves. Took us a lot of time – about a whole week, but we took it easy (I’m 77 years old) – little by little every day after work and now we really enjoy it. Design wise – it is very strong, looks very nice. Now we spend so much time in it – we just love it!
This gazebo is everything we were hoping for. A great addition to our patio to enable us to sit out in the rain if desired and give us some shade during the heat of the summer. The instructions for assembly were easy to follow. Quality is great and hope to enjoy it for many years!!
This gazebo took my dad and myself a day and a half to assemble. It’s perfect for the Michigan spring and fall. In the winter, it takes an hour to warm up. In the summer, it’s usually about 10° warmer than the outdoor temperature and is comfortable with all the windows open. I love this thing and it’s my go-to workout place during the better seasons of the year.
The best part about owning our Gazebo has been decorating it to match my personal style. Since we are the first of our friends to get one, everyone always wants to come over!
Great product. I highly recommend Westview. Our gazebo arrived exactly as described and it was a breeze to put together.
Relatively easy to assemble if you have at least a small amount of mechanical aptitude – took me and 1 helper about 8 hours to assemble, including anchoring. It’s very solid when completed, I caulked the roof panels during assembly, that’s my only gripe. There were a couple of issues we thought with some of the pre-assembly from the factory, but a quick phone call and the customer service gave us some pointers and fixed the issue.
Hi James, Attached is a link to a Dropbox folder with the photos of our Colorado 12 x 16 enclosure we purchased. It is beautiful and works perfectly in the spot we chose for it. It took us about 2 hours to unload the crate from the street outside our fence and to bring pieces all inside the backyard. Then our two contractors assembled it in about 8 hours. It looks exactly as depicted on your website and we are very pleased about that. Currently, we are having a heat wave this summer so it is like a sauna inside the room with the hot tub serving as the heating source, but we know it will be a perfect respite from our gloomy cold and rainy winters in Portland soon enough. Thanks for all of your help in getting it to our residence in West Linn, Oregon. Let me know if you have any problems accessing the photos. Regards, Mark and Jody Odaniell
We searched everywhere online to find a spa gazebo suitable to house our hot tub. All paths lead to your website. It is so comprehensive. The Colorado 12×16 arrived on schedule and the build time of one day was accurate. The building is exactly as described and we are very satisfied with the quality.

The classic style of the Colorado 12×16 really complements our home. Couldn’t ask for a better design.
My husband thought it would be complicated to assemble but it ended up being surprisingly smooth.
The Colorado 12×16 model looks high-end. It really adds value to our property.
Fantastic ventilation. Even with the hot tub running, it doesn’t feel stuffy.
The Colorado 121×6 is made of really thick, premium materials. You can feel the quality.

Easily one of the best backyard upgrades we’ve ever made.
