Description
The Flagship Whistler: Maximum Space, Maximum Impact
The Whistler 12×20 is the largest model in the Whistler collection and the largest composite spa enclosure in the standard 12-foot-wide Westview lineup. At approximately 12 feet wide and 20 feet long, the interior comfortably accommodates an 8-foot hot tub with room for spa steps, a sofa, a coffee table, a widescreen TV, and additional furnishings. This is the Whistler model that functions as a true outdoor entertainment room — a space where you can host spa nights, watch a game, or simply relax with family in a fully enclosed, weather- protected environment.
The cedar-colored Ultrawood walls with dark brown accents create the warm, West Coast-inspired atmosphere that defines the Whistler collection. At approximately 12 by 20 feet, the scale of the warm wood tones and glass windows creates an environment that feels more like a furnished cabin than a backyard gazebo. The visual impact when guests see the Whistler 12×20 for the first time is consistently described with one word: wow.
The Full Glass Experience
Six sliding lockable glass windows with aluminum frames wrap the perimeter of this nearly 240-square-foot structure. At this size, the amount of glass creates a panoramic viewing experience from every seat in the room. The built-in skylight in the Duraflex PC roof adds overhead light that eliminates any sense of being in a closed box.
In summer, open the windows for a cross-breeze; in winter, close and lock them for a sealed, wind-protected room. The glass quality and aluminum framing give the Whistler a premium feel that sets it apart from budget enclosures.
Ultrawood Composite: The Largest in the 12-Foot-Wide Lineup
At approximately12 by 20 feet, the Whistler 12×20 is a substantial structure that benefits enormously from the zero- maintenance advantage of Ultrawood. A comparable 240-square-foot wood structure would require extensive annual upkeep: staining every side, sealing the roof, replacing any rotted or cracked boards, and inspecting the finish after every season. With Ultrawood, none of that is necessary. The material is permanently weather- resistant, insect-proof, and fade-resistant, and it will look the same in year ten as it does on installation day.
Snow, Wind, and Year-Round Performance
The standard snow load rating of 35 pounds per square foot and wind rating of 75 mph handle typical residential weather. The optional bracket upgrade kit increases capacity to 40 pounds per square foot and 100 mph wind — a worthwhile upgrade at this size, where the larger roof span benefits from the additional structural reinforcement. The Whistler 12×20 is built for year-round use in climates ranging from mild coastal regions to heavy-snow areas.
Assembly and Getting Started
The Whistler 12×20 ships as a pre-assembled panel kit. Two lockable swing French doors provide the main entrance, with the door position customizable to any wall. Assembly takes a full day to a day and a half for two to three people, with help recommended for the roof panel installation stage. Westview’s engineering stamp document provides permit resources for jurisdictions that require it.
For homeowners who need a wider interior or multiple entrances, the Brentwood 16×24 or Denali 16×24 offer larger footprints in different design styles. For a slightly more compact Whistler, the 12×18 is two feet shorter. Optional tempered glass, screen kits, and roof brackets are available individually or bundled. Affirm financing at checkout.
